Locavores Night Out: A Celebration of Local Food!

Hosted by Jackson Whole Grocer, Teton Wellness Institute and Slow Food in the Tetons.

When: Tuesday, April 20th, 2010 5-9 pm
Where: Wildwood Room, Victor, Idaho (1/2 mile north of Victor, follow the signs)
What: Locavore highlights include:

Dinner prepared by Bill Boney made entirely of local ingredients
Local beers and wines
Educational booths showcasing local food growing and producing efforts
Kids seed planting activities
Savory samples of locally-produced food and beverage
Raffle prizes
Products for purchase
A benefit for Full Circle Education’s Curriculum Development Program for School Gardens

Eco-Fair 2010

Jointly hosted by Jackson Whole Grocer, Slow Food in the Tetons, and the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Campaign.

When: Saturday, April 24th, 2010 11am- 4pm
Where: Powderhorn Park in Jackson (behind Sears and Main Event)
Foul weather back-up location: under tents in the parking lot of Jackson Whole Grocer

What: A community celebration of simple and sustainable living in the Tetons.

Booths showcasing the sustainability efforts of organizations throughout the Teton region
Educational workshops
Kids games and activities
Savory samples of locally-produced food and beverage (BYO mug for free beer!)
Free bike tune-ups
Music by local performers
Raffle prizes
